Enabling young people to grow

The Banyan Tree has been offering an exceptional residential service to children and young people with complex needs in Northampton since 2001.

We are a small and unique provider with a proven history of improving outcomes for children and young people through a combination of Ofsted registered, CQC registered, and independent supported accommodation provisions.

We believe in creating a warm, nurturing ,and positive environment both physically and emotionally for the children and young people in our care. This provides them with the safety to explore their pasts and develop a healthier sense of self to progress.

Our Approach

Trees are often used as symbols of growth and achievement, and the banyan tree itself has lots and lots of trunks supporting the tree to grow. Every tree is different and unique, and needs certain things to flourish. We want to help all our young people grow and develop just like the tree does.

Every banyan tree needs certain nutrients and conditions to flourish, yet each re different in shape, size, and character. No two trees are the same. At The Banyan Tree, we believe that all children are different, indeed, unique. We celebrate and encourage this diversity, whilst recognising that all have a fundamental need to be nurtured.

Our mantra is ‘Enabling Young People to Grow’ as we want all the children and young people who live with us to grow and develop, just as a banyan tree does.
